Executive Director

Kristie McKillip, Executive Director

Kristie comes to the Boone County EDC from the Indiana Department of Commerce. At Commerce Kristie worked in the Office of Domestic and International Recruitment as a recruitment project manager for new business. Kristie managed projects at the state totaling over $1 Billion in potential investment to Indiana. During her tenure at Commerce, projects under her direction resulted in approximately $82 million in new investment and job creation of nearly 2,700 throughout the State of Indiana.

Before going to Commerce, Kristie served in the Governor's Fellowship program under the O’Bannon administration. During the Fellowship, Kristie worked with the Governor's legislative team during the legislative session of 2002. She also worked with chief counsel for the Indiana State Police to coordinate and market the roll-out of the statewide emergency communication system. Prior to her selection as a Governor's Fellow, she worked in the Indiana General Assembly as a Senate Intern. Kristie is a native of Harrison County, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University Southeast with honors where she received the Political Science Student of the Year award.

The Boone County EDC is a member of the Indy Partnership, a non-profit regional marketing organization serving the Indianapolis region. The Indy Partnership's mission is to serve as a catalyst for increased capital investment and quality job growth in the Indianapolis region.
